invites girls and boys aged 5 to 18 years to learn classical ballet and contemporary dance.
Pavlova School of Classical Ballet presents its 2024 School Concert on Sunday 1 December 2024 at The Goodwood Institute Theatre
Show highlights diverse styles of ballet from classical to modern interpretations. Talented and outstanding students will perform dances, fragments and variations from La Gioconda, La Vivandiere, Napoli, Swan Lake, La Esmeralda, Grand pas Classique, Cinderella, Don Quixote, Paquita, Raymonda, Coppelia, Le Corsaire. Students will also perform contemporary, lyrical and neoclassical routines.
Feature guest Mitcham Rhythmic Gymnastics Club.
The program directed and choreographed by Valentina Pavlova, Olga Buglak, Madison Schubert and Allegra Cook.
People of all ages are welcome to attend the concert in celebration of the festive season, not to be missed!!!

The School offers junior beginner classes for girls and boys up to 12 years of age.
There are further beginners, intermediate and advanced classes for girls and boys aged 12 and over.
Private lessons are also available.
Intermediate and advanced students practice pointe work.
The Vaganova Method
The School uses the Vaganova Method of classical ballet in its pedagogy. This method is the basis of the renowned Russian School of Ballet style.
The method was developed by the famous Russian ballerina Madame Agrippina Vaganova (1879-1951), and is widely used in Russia, Europe, North America and other parts of the world.
A highly professional approach based on years of experience in the field of teaching this method is used.
Classes are imparted by the Bolshoi trained, Moscow Festival Theatre and State Kremlin Ballet acclaimed soloist and principal dancer, Valentina Pavlova.

Students will study classical repertoire from the following ballets:
- Swan Lake
- Nutcracker
- Don Quixote
- Giselle
- Cinderella
- The Sleeping Beauty
- Raymonda
- Le Corsaire
- Coppelia
- Variations from other classical ballets
Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their acquired skills through participation in the professionally staged, artistically directed performance at the end of 2024 in an established theatre venue.
